What is Craniosacral therapy?

Craniosacral Therapy enhances a ‘coming back to complete freedom’ again. It is that place where the cells, the tissues, the organs and the whole body can feel their natural space. By gently placing the hands on different parts of the body, the craniosacral therapist invites the body to expand, there where it has become restricted by physical and emotional difficulties. The Craniosacral Therapy practitioner essentially encourages the body to release these restrictions, that it has been unable to overcome on its own. Rather than deciding how these changes should be made, the therapist follows the body’s response as how to proceed. CST therapists use finely tuned palpation skills, which are unique in working in tune with the body’s natural rhythms.

“Every drop knows the tide.” -William Sutherland, Osteopath.

Craniosacral therapy begins with the humble wisdom that health is always present in the body and that any discord is the result of the body’s attempt to balance itself. The body knows how to find its natural balance, the principle of homeostasis. CST can be used for a wide range of medical conditions and emotional difficulties, associated with pain and dysfunction. CST improves inner health and gives a sense of well-being.
